Our Staff

Surrey's staff is dedicated and passionate about the organization.  While they have varied backgrounds they all share the common goal of delivering the best possible services to seniors throughout the community.

Meet the senior staff:

Robert Madonna
President & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Madonna joined Surrey as President and CEO on January 4, 2016.  He brings more than 30 years of experience to the organization.

Bob holds a B.S. in business from Widener University in PA. He currently serves on the Board of the Ryan's Case for Smiles Foundation and the Chair of the Delaware County Community College Foundation. He has served as a Board of Trustee with The Silver Springs-Martin Luther School, and an Advisory Board member of Educational Excellence and Entrepreneurship (3E Institute) at West Chester University. In addition, Bob was a founding director of the Golden Cradle Adoption. He is also an active member with the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Network Group (GPSEG), helping executives in transition.

 

Lorin Carlson-Healy
Senior Director, Home Services

Lorin brings a wealth of senior healthcare and management experience having directed programs in community-based non profit organizations, hospitals and clinics.  She also has clinical practice expertise and has managed a geriatric care management company.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Columbia University and a Masters of Social Work from the City University of New York, Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work.

Lauren Christiansen
Senior Director, Development

Lauren brings 20 years of fundraising and development experience to Surrey.  She has worked successfully in educational institutions, the health care industry and most recently in local organizations including the YMCA of the Upper Main Line.  Lauren is a graduate of Rosemont College. 

Linda DiMaggio
Senior Director, Compliance & Reporting

Linda is responsible for all the compliance and reporting requirements in the organization.  Additionally, she manages Information Technology, Membership and Volunteer Programs.  Linda has experience in both the corporate and non-profit arenas. She has two master’s degrees from Drexel University and Cabrini College.
 

Suzanne McElroy
Senior Director of Finance

Suzanne is responsible for all Finance and Human Resources functions at Surrey.  A Lansdowne resident, she joined Surrey in 2009. Ms. McElroy holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Villanova University.

Caroline Metz
Senior Director, Community & Member Relations

Caroline joined Surrey in 1999 as a volunteer. Formerly employed in the corporate world for many years, Caroline brings a wide range of experience to Surrey.

 

Christi Seidel
Director of Marketing

Christi Seidel has more than 20 years of marketing experience at both for-profit and non-profit organizations.  She oversees marketing, public relations and community outreach.  She received her undergraduate degree from Marymount University and holds an MBA from St. Joseph's University. Christi began her involvement with Surrey 19 years ago as a volunteer.  She is involved with several non profit organizations including the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where she serves on the Cardiac Center Board of Visitors.

Wendy Walsh
Geriatric Care Manager

Wendy Walsh is a registered nurse who graduated from Abington Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.  She has more than 34 years of experience. Wendy is certified by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America as a Qualified Dementia Care Specialist.

 

Vicki Weiss
Executive Assistant to the President

Vicki Weiss joined Surrey in 2012 as the Executive Assistant to the President where she is involved in oversight of much of the administrative and operational aspects of the organization. Vicki brings 20 years of experience running programs for non-profits and volunteer organizations.  Vicki holds a BA in Economics from Georgetown University.
