Surrey Speaks at National ASA Convention

Surrey was selected to speak at the American Society on Aging’s national conference in Chicago this spring.  Barbara Fentress, Surrey President & CEO, and Caroline Metz, Senior Director, Member & Community Relations, presented “Building Sustainability by Strengthening Participation of Seniors Volunteers in Your Organization.”   Barbara and Caroline discussed that as funding tightens for aging-related organizations, they need to develop procedures to help maintain sustainability.  They described how Surrey created a replicable business model tapping the talent of a most underutilized resource: older volunteers. Barbara and Caroline showed participants how they can how can strengthen their organization and increase their resources while minimizing organizational exposure and risk.  For more information contact Vicki Weiss at 610-647-6404, ext. 251.
