Surrey offers numerous opportunities for older adults to meet and participate in activities that suit their interests and abilities.  Whether it's lunch in one of our centers, volunteering, participating in a club or activity or taking a trip to a local venue, Surrey has ongoing activities that are open to everyone at any time.

Socializing is good for your health

In fact, studies have revealed a strong link between social interaction and mental and physical well-being for seniors. Rush University Medical Center in Chicago found that seniors with the highest levels of social activity -- doing things such as visiting friends, going to parties or attending church -- showed much lower levels of cognitive decline than those who were the least socially active.
