Non-profit offers countless ways for older adults to connect 

Bryn Mawr PA. May 2, 2024. Surrey Services for Seniors is thrilled to announce the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting celebration for its newest location in Bryn Mawr. The event occurred on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 1 pm. The new Surrey center will be a social hub for older adults providing community and connection through programs, meals, resources, support services and opportunities to find meaning and purpose through volunteering. 

The center is located at 119 Radnor Street in the Foerder House on the campus of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. The center will have room for an array of activities including: 

  • Exercise classes, yoga, and zumba 
  • Art room dedicated to watercolor, weaving, flower arranging, and more 
  • The Surrey Speaker Series featuring lectures and informational programs 
  • Gathering area for delicious, chef-prepared meals and socializing 
  • Groundbreaking programs such as StrongerMemory and Matter of Balance, Resource Navigation provided by dedicated Surrey staff, as well as Surrey’s essential services including Home Care and Transportation 

Surrey Bryn Mawr also will be the headquarters of The Surrey Academy and Skills Lab. The Surrey Academy is a free training and hands-on skills program for two types of caregivers: family caregivers and aspiring professional caregivers.

We celebrate what this partnership will mean for senior adults in the area.”
