April is National Volunteer Appreciation Month! Surrey was honored to welcome volunteers from 2024 to celebrate their commitment to our mission.
Surrey would not be here without volunteers.
Did you know that Surrey was started by volunteers? Jeanne LaRouche, Surrey’s founder, organized a group of volunteers to provide essential rides to older adults who could no longer drive. After almost forty-five years, volunteers continue to be an essential part of every day at Surrey- giving rides, delivering meals, answering phones, serving lunch, leading programs, and more.
Thank you to all volunteers for your incredible commitment to Surrey’s nonprofit mission. We look forward to celebrating you for the rest of this month and beyond!
