Changing the Way We Age
Being independent doesn’t mean going it alone. True independence comes with support – a community that’s there to lift you up without taking over. Surrey was founded on this idea of independence, and a Neighbor Helping Neighbor philosophy. Those ideas, along with a growing list of needed services, are the reason for our success and growth over nearly 45 years
As you can see from our recently released key performance indicators (KPIs), last year, the number of individuals Surrey served increased 25% from the previous year. Our services – transportation, home care, meals, program participation—all experienced double-digit growth. Due to our uncertain times, the need for assistance grew as well. Subsidized memberships for older adults who are struggling to pay for basic needs increased 177%.
Our Surrey community would not exist without the generosity of volunteers, donors, funders, and you, our Surrey members.
